As many of you have probably experienced, On2 Flix Engine does not support all codec's flawlessly.

Audio/Video goes out of sync. Missed spots in video. Buffer overflows.

We all know it's a faulty product.

In order to work with On2 there needs to be a best format that you could transcode or first.

Anyone have any suggested formats that work best with Flix Engine (make sure you express if you are using linux or windows version).

In my own experience I feel that WMV is a somewhat stable encode with Linux version.

I have the Flix Engine for Windows. While there are occasional issues with some videos, I have not had any that experienced audio sync problems or missed spots in the videos. We transcode up to 4 videos at a time on a quad processor machine. It's not particularly fast, but almost any video type we have thrown at it has successfully converted. I use the K-Lite Full Codec pack.

We have successfully converted over 2500 videos uploaded with minimal problems.
